Sell Your Vinyl Records, CDs & Music Collections | Cash Paid – 74 Kid Records

We Buy Vinyl Records, CDs & Music Collections for Cash

Cash paid for vinyl records, CDs, and music collections. 74 Kid Records offers friendly, professional appraisals with honest pricing based on condition, demand, and current market value.

We buy collections locally in Coloma, Michigan, Lawrence, Michigan, and Morris, Illinois / Chicagoland, with pickup available for larger collections. Nationwide inquiries are welcome for larger collections.

Most vinyl records should be Very Good (VG) or better for both the record and cover. Better condition generally results in higher offers. 45’s (7″ Records) need to be in top condition and with sleeves. CDs should be clean and free of heavy scratches.

When we buy records from the mid-1960s and earlier, we tend to be more selective. If your collection includes pre-1965 rock, jazz (not easy-listening jazz), or blues, please mention that in your details.

We buy most genres. Some exceptions may include Easy Listening (1960s era), orchestra, Hawaiian, or mass-produced budget titles.

We focus on collections with resale value that we can find a great home for. We will always be honest if something is not a good fit.

FAQs

How much are my records worth?

Record value depends on popularity, scarcity, and—most importantly—condition. Because grading and demand vary widely, we can’t provide solid offers without seeing the collection. Once reviewed, we’ll give an honest assessment of value and fit.

Do you buy large collections?

Yes. We regularly purchase large record and music collections. For larger collections, it’s best to start with a brief conversation so we can understand what you have and determine the best next steps. Travel and pickup are available when appropriate.

How does the process work after I submit the form?

We’ll review your submission and reach out as soon as possible—most often by email—to discuss next steps.

Are there certain artists or styles you’re less interested in?

Market demand varies by genre, era, and condition. Collections made up primarily of easy-listening, sing-along, or orchestral pop titles often have lower resale demand today, especially when condition is modest.

If your collection focuses heavily on artists such as Mitch Miller, Mantovani, Ray Conniff, Percy Faith, Andre Kostelanetz, 101 Strings, Lawrence Welk, or Ferrante & Teicher, please mention that in your details so we can provide the most accurate feedback.

We’re always happy to review collections and will be upfront about value and fit.

Does the release year of records matter?

When we buy records from the mid-1960s and earlier, we tend to be more selective. If your collection includes pre-1965 rock, jazz (not easy-listening jazz), or blues, please mention that in your details.

Do you buy 78 RPM records?

At this time, we do not purchase 78 RPM records. While historically interesting, the resale market for most 78s is very limited, and their brittle shellac construction makes them difficult to safely handle and transport.
