Yacht rock is a music style associated with melodic soft rock from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s.
Online you can find many Yacht Rock songs lists. To me, many of the songs on those lists do not fit my narrow definition of Yacht Rock. In my opinion Yacht Rock songs have a sound that is very distinctive and pleasing.
